Archie and Gill

Hi everyone, I am Gill. I’m partially retired and my husband, Mick is now fully retired. We live in North Tyneside with Archie our cockerpoo. No one believes us, as he is a lot more cocker than poo! He has just turned 2 and is such a great little character.  We contacted Tim last June when Archie started to refuse walking outside our house/garden and was becoming quite distressed.  Following Tim’s programme we can see progress. As a lockdown puppy, we did everything we could to socialise him, but now realise everything was so much quieter and less busy back then. We are back to taking baby steps literally when outside, knowing we will get to stress free, no-pulling, fun walks in the future.

We joined Ready, Steady Recall and although Archie is still a long way from being off lead, other than in a secure area, the games are helping massively. His focus on us has improved so much! Some days he even takes his high value treats, which he has never eaten outside!!

We’re really looking forward to gain more advice and tips from this club and see further progress during 2023. It’s great to be on board.
