About Tim…

Tim Jackson started his career working with animals as a veterinary auxiliary nurse. He trained and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007 at Myerscough College. He was promoted to Head veterinary nurse and spent a number of years helping animals and their owners.

In 2008, Tim launched Pets2impress, a company that took the region by storm. What began as a pet sitting service soon expanded to offer a variety of services.

In 2014, Tim took the decision to leave his position as Head Veterinary nurse to expand Pets2impress.

Tim has completed multiple animal behaviour courses, including the Think Dog Certificates and a Diploma in Animal Behaviour. He passed each of these with a distinction and the knowledge he gained from these, combined with his extensive nursing experience, allowed him to offer one-on-one training sessions for all problem behaviours utilising only positive, reward-based training programmes.

5 star rating

This is a fun and stress-free method of training, which is easy to learn and rapidly achieves fantastic results. In its most basic form, it is a method of communication that is very clear for the dog. Examples of problem behaviours which Tim is able to assist with include separation anxiety, lack of basic training, dog-on-dog aggression and other anxiety-related issues, however, no problem is too small or too big for Tim.

In 2015, Tim opened a state of the art daycare facility, offering a safe and stimulating environment for dogs whilst their owners’ are out at work. His experience as a qualified veterinary nurse, dog trainer and canine behaviourist gave him a comprehensive understanding that all dogs have different physical and emotional needs, allowing daycare sessions to be tailor-made to suit each individual.

5* Rating Awarded by South Tyneside Council

Tim runs his daycare as close to a nursery setting as possible and therefore follows a daily schedule as closely as possible. This is extremely beneficial to the dogs in his care as it has been well documented that dogs thrive off predictability, and it has positive effects on both their behaviour and mental wellbeing.

A typical day at the daycare centre includes free play, walks outside for a change of scenery, training-time, and quiet time as rest is extremely important to prevent overstimulation, which can have a negative impact on both behaviour and physical condition. In October 2019, Tim launched an additional package to the daycare service, the doggy ‘adventure’ daycare to offer dog’s further opportunity to receive physical and mental stimulation on a 1-1 basis as well as receive the other benefits daycare has to offer. In June 2020, Tim launched two additional packages to the daycare service, The Scent Space and School Trips as with the adventure daycares these were designed to allow dogs further opportunity to receive physical and mental stimulation.

Tim is well known for his sense of humour and love and dedication to the welfare of all animals. Tim has owned several animals over the years including a rescue tarantula (which he was absolutely terrified of), an iguana, bearded dragons, cats, hamsters, rats, mice, fish and dogs.

Between 2020 – 2022 Tim has published 4 books and add name of most recent one, The South Shields Puppy Playbook. All of Tim’s books can be purchased via Amazon.

Tim’s mission in life is to help owners who struggle with their dog to prevent dogs ending up in shelter.

When not working Tim can be seen swapping Doggy daycare for Daddy daycare. Tim loves nothing more than spending time with his four adorable children. He can also be found out walking his dogs, Buddy and Bea and every now and then enjoys a nice pint at the local pub.
